Wander Reading #37

Posted by Tim Stobbs on April 1, 2011

It started with a sore throat, then turned to a little ache here and there and last night my nose turned into a faucet.  Yep, I got sick. So while that is crappy way to start my weekend, the good news is the books sales are doing fine.  Actually I’m expecting I will have enough sales that I should have my first print run paid off before I ever get the bill for it. Oh and for those that prefer to order through Amazon the listing for Free at 45 is now up.

Now onto the links:

Well so much for the theory that brand name batteries last longer, see here (Walletpop.ca).

Moolala, what a title for a book? Check out a review and how to win a copy here. (Million Dollar Journey)

JD Roth has a list of 42 goals to complete in 42 months (3.5 years), I liked #3 Become Semi-Retired (Get Rich Slowly)

Apparently the idea that Canadians are withdrawing from their RRSP at an ‘alarming rate’ is overblown.  (Money Smarts Blog)

Some thoughts on how to create an allowance system for your kids, see here (Globe and Mail)

Seven things you don’t want to skimp on, its nice to see lists like this to remind you it pays to invest in some things (Brip Blap)

I loved this post on Time Management for Freelancers.  It reminds me of my own crazy schedule, but just insert ‘kids time’ from 6pm to 8pm every night.

    Thanks for the mention.

Good luck with book sales – I’m confident that the demand for early retirement books is much greater than the demand for RESP books. :)

Thanks Mike. I hope you are right.
