Spend some extra time with my family or do something for yourself. What's the point of savings if you can't enjoy it later, with yourself or with your loved ones. Years like this suck... but years where you make 40% are quite nice indeed! Exercise also helps me get out of a funk. I also find that writing can get me to the other side of things. Interesting article in the G&M today about how writing about values improves relationships. There is a kind of focus that comes from writing that helps sort things out and it's also insightful to go back to earlier writing for perspective, etc. Great blog :) I rarely feel like giving up on saving but I often feel like giving up on the work I’m presently doing that’s key to my early retirement plan.
